Armenia State Philharmony Concert Hall of Arno Babajanyan
The State Philharmonic of Armenia has been operating since 1930. The building is located in the heart of the city and differs from other buildings in its appearance. It was built in 1900-1919, by V.O. Simonson's project. During the one-century history, the National Assembly of the first Republic of Armenia, the Public Library, the House of Culture of Yerevan, etc. functioned here.
World famouse musicans, such as Egon Petri, David Oistrakh, Eddie Rosner, Zara Dolukhanova, Lily Amaran and many other famous artists have performed on the stage of the Philharmonia.
It was here that Mozart's Requiem and Bach's Mass in C minor were performed for the first time in Armenia.
The philharmonic hall was named after Arno Babajanyan in 2005. It has 300 guest seets. Various events are regularly held in the hall.
